Kindergarten: 8/21-22, 1/8-9, 4/16-17
1st Grade: 8/23-24, 1/10-11, 4/18-19
2nd Grade: 8/25 & 29, 1/12 & 16, 4/22-23
If your student will be absent during testing, please let your teacher know.
Standardized Testing Information
Our students participate in 3 sessions of progress monitoring throughout the school year. Beginning of year, mid-year, and end of year. We assess students in language arts and math. Students are assessed on grade level standards and teachers monitor their results for progress.
Why Test in K-2?
Student scores are monitored to ensure they are making progress. If a teacher sees that a student is not meeting academic expectations, they have a few options to help the student. The standardized test scores are pieces of data needed to determine if sufficient progress is being made and if not, where the deficits could be in order to provide proper instruction.
